And the Supermen of SA's Got Talent are... Kryptonite!

On Sunday night (6 November) viewers stood up against the endless singers on SA's Got Talent and put their votes behind Gauteng dance troupe Kryptonite Dance Academy instead. The crew, who range in age from 10 to 25, delivered an exuberant and expressive performance and became the first dance group to win a season of the show.

There were too many singers in the finale - three was too much! - especially with Idols airing at the same. The show needs to have more acts and fewer singers: there should have been a max of one in the finale.

Too many singers have won previously (three out of seven seasons) so it was a very welcome relief when the finale came down to Kryptonite and drag artist dancer Manila Von Teez, who miraculously made it out of her performance alive. Her legs landed in such a bizarre position after a leap off a platform that we pulled a muscle just watching.

She seemed okay with how things turned out when the winner was announced and flicked her "do" while Kryptonite exploded with victory. Here's a vid of their winning performance:

I loved it. Two of my favourites were in the finals and I am so happy with the win for Kryptonite.
