Presenter and actor Lawrence Maleka gets fünk_é with Boity Thulo this Friday (9 September) when he steps up as the new co-host of e.tv's Club 808. Lawrence replaces Cyprian Ndlovu who left in July and brings his crush on music to the Club.
Lawrence is a massive music fan and has this to say about what we can expect from him: "Viewers can expect me to do what I always strive to do, the best I can. I hope to use my knowledge of the local music industry to give Club 808 fans the inside track”.
Earlier this year Lawrence replaced Bonang as the host of Mzansi Magic's musical reality show Clash of the Choirs so this is his second high profile musical gig of the year.
Lawrence also has experience with gadgets, luck and isiBaya's Thukela Valley. He landed his first break on Soweto TV in 2009 where he hosted numerous shows including The Gadget Show, Ziyamporomo and Street Radio. It was here that he first worked with Boity so the two of them Go Back.
In 2015 he replaced Fezile Makhanya as the presenter of Lotto Powerball on e.tv and landed the role of Don Webster on isiBaya.
