Survivor: Katastrophe saves Vytas after tribe shuffle

Wowser, talk about being Katastrophically dense and idiotic. Kat had everything going for her - the support of her tribe, safety in numbers, commitments for the future and she tossed it all away because "Monica likes talking". Duh! It's so non-rational you can't believe it's actually true.

I also can't believe that I decided that I liked Kat this season. #Cringe It's embarrassing that I had those moments and I imagine I'm going to find myself further embarassed for what I'm going to say next but I'm going to blurt it out: I like Vytas. His ploy to get the girls on his side worked on me bigtime, even though I know it was his strategy.

It's crazy... how can that be?? You can know and still be okay with it. It must be because he was so honest about everything, firstly telling us about his plan and then his stories about his past. It was strategic on one hand and yet true on the other so you can't judge him for it.

He played things perfectly at Tribal by pointing out Kat's untrustiness while making himself seem super. It was excellently played which makes him a dangerous player, which Aras clearly needs right now because he plunged from ring leader to lackey in an instant after the tribe shuffle. He's totally at the mercy of Tyson's mind-messing strategy which was very chuckleworthy because it's brilliant.

I've never thought about it before but it's a master stroke to constantly say stuff about someone that will subtly and negatively influence how everyone sees them. Tyson's apologizing for Aras's "errant behaviour" was the best, especially because Aras is a Two Shoes yet everyone bought into Tyson's depiction of him.

The sudden shift in Aras's status was intriguing, especially after the Redemption Island challenge which revealed that he was right about Laura taking out Colepepper. It didn't excuse the fact that Aras had turned on her but her victory was thrilling and injected the episode with such a positive vibe from the start.

It made me support her and Ciera even more so I was pleased when Ciera turned out to be the only girl on her new tribe. They'll never get rid of her first because there are too many other testosterone driven factions going on which makes it the best place she could be right now.

Here's a refresh of the new tribes to commit to memory:

Tadhana

Ciera
Caleb
Gervase
Aras
Hayden
Tyson

Galang

Puzzlewrecking Tina
Katie
Other Laura
Monica
Vytas

So thats the end of Brad Culpepper then? I have  a feeling he will return for a future season. Yeah Kat shot herself in the foot - though I feel (as much as I like her )- the target should have been Tina - not only for botching up the IC but because the mother - daughter alliance is dangerous. On the other hand was also happy for Laura M and her win. Am feeling a bit worriedfor Aras - but also feel like some of the others (Kat's bf) seem a bit weary of Tyson
