Design reality show Win a Home has been reformatted for 2016 and is on a search for design contestants to be part of the new set-up.
Starting in May, it's going to become an insert on SABC3's Afternoon Express instead of airing as a stand alone reality show, which its been for the past two years.
The inserts are going to air daily and will include similar challenges to the reality show, with one notable difference: two prizes for the competing designers.
One prize will be the Judges Choice, where the judges will pick a design winner who will receive R50 000 prize money and a paid internship with a renowned Cape Town interior design and décor studio.
The second prize will be voted for by viewers, who will vote online for their favorite rooms. The design challenge contestant with the most accumulated votes at the end of the competition will win R50 000. If the judges and viewers are in agreement this means that one design contestant could potentially win both prizes.
Who can enter?
Passionate and qualified designers who have less than five years of experience.
The insert will be casting three designers who will turn three white-box apartments into haute couture homes on a lifestyle estate in the Cape Winelands.
The three competing designers will be mentored by three home décor magazines and each designer will be assigned a magazine title who will guide them through the design process. These magazines will each do a feature spread on their designer's completed apartment.
