The Xulus get an uninvited guest who has news for them that leaves a very bitter taste in their mouths. Xulu decides to put his plan in to action, in search for the truth. Mkhonto decides to take matters into his own hands.

Episode 129
Mkhonto follows Xulu, determined to shoot him. Mamlambo warns Ayanda against using the church to fight Xulu. Xulu tells Mxolisi he is no longer welcome at the panel beater and his house. Ayanda holds his first police community forum meeting.

Episode 130
Amandla hurts Smangele’s feelings as she soldiers on, adamant to meet her father, Xulu. Neither MaNgcobo or Mastermind can stand in Amandla’s way as she sets off to meet her father. MaNgcobo battles to accept that Mxolisi is not her son.
Xulu’s attempt to cut the umbilical cord has resulted in creating distance between them. MaNgcobo gets a shock of her life when she reads the results of the DNA test which she insisted Xulu must source as proof.

Episode 131
MaNgcobo is shocked and in complete disbelief when the lab results confirm that Mxolisi is not her son. Smangele and Mastermind realize that Amandla has run away. MaNgcobo cannot bring herself to tell Xulu the results of the DNA test. The Maphumulo's receive disturbing news and are required to go with the police to identify a dead body matching the description they gave of Amandla.

Episode 132
Xulu nearly finds out MaNgcobo has been lying about the DNA results. Mabuza discovers Xulu is thinking of killing Mxolisi. Dhlomo tells MaNzuza the chances of finding Amandla alive are slim. Mastermind tells Thobile that he feels responsible for Amandla’s downward spiral MaNgcobo shows Xulu the forged DNA results that claim Mxolisi is his son.

Episode 133
Xulu and MaNgcobo confront MaMlambo about the switching of the babies, and MaMlambo stands firm on her word, saying she only conveyed what the ancestors told her. Mastermind is indignant when Smangele tells him to stop working for Xulu. Amandla finally re-emerges, high on whoonga. Her life is in danger when one of the older boys try to take advantage of her.

Episode 134
Gundi fights to protect Amandla from rape. MaNgcobo tells Nosipho she’s betraying her by helping find Amandla. Amandla runs away from Mastermind, Mxolisi and Gundi. Gundi tells them she doesn’t want to go home.

Episode 135
Mastermind tells Dhlomo where they saw Amandla and says he must look for her there. Xulu and Mxolisi return to work as father and son. Ayanda comes to find Smangele and tells her that Amandla has been found. Mxolisi finds the hospital files with the switched at birth information.

Episode 136
Mxolisi almost reads the hospital files. The Mdletshes welcome Amandla into their home. Xulu and Mxolisi high-jack Ayanda’s community meeting. Xulu is happy that he is working with Mxolisi, but Mangcobo battles with her secret.

Episode 137
Amandla battles to return MaNzuza's watch to prove her innocence. When she finally does, she is caught and is seen as a thief in front of Nkosinathi who just confessed his feelings for her after they sealed their union with a kiss.
Ayanda is adamant on saving the youth as he preaches about lost kids in his sermon and invites Amandla to the church support group. He goes an extra mile as he visits Smangele to request her support to save Amandla.

Episode 138
Dhlomo presents Captain Mthimkulu with evidence that Mkhonto is Sgqemeza. Smangele informs Amandla that she will be going to a rehab centre outside of KwaMashu tomorrow Dhlomo and a police officer request for Mkhonto to go with them to the police station on matters regarding Sgqemeza. Amandla gives the dealer her phone as payment for two whoonga joints.

Episode 139
Xulu rejects Amandla again, and she is crushed. This is after Mastermind tells her not to speak to Xulu. While everyone searches for Mkhonto, Dhlomo tells him that his only option is to work with him. Smangele is worried that rehab might not help Amandla, because all she wants is acceptance from Xulu. Amandla overdoses on whoonga, and dies.

Episode 140
Amandla’s body is removed from the Mdletshe house. Ayanda tries to comfort a distraught Nkosinathi. Captain Mthimkhulu is angry that Dhlomo released Mkhonto Xulu isn’t sure about Mxolisi’s car heist plan. Ayanda, GC and Thobile offer their condolences to the Maphumulo’s.

Episode 141
Xulu tells Mxolisi the heist won’t work without Mastermind. Mastermind and Smangele have to postpone the funeral due to lack of funds to bury Amandla. Ayanda fumes at Xulu and MaNgcobo - they don’t care about Amandla. Mastermind tells Mxolisi he won’t be part of the heist. Mabuza is caught on Hidden Camera going through Dhlomo’s files.
