Special notes

Due to the Nelson Mandela Challenge soccer match on Tuesday 8 September, Generations was pushed to 22h00 and as a result only posted 3,398,000 viewers, thereby dragging down its overall average for the week. Uzalo did not air - instead it caught up on the Thursday of that week.

Similarly, Muvhango was also affected by the soccer, managing only 3,364,000 viewers on that night. Rhythm City and Scandal! also took a hit.

However, the viewers who would have tuned into Generations and Uzalo tuned into e.tv's Gold Diggers and Kasi Living: Edladleni instead, with both shows sporting massive gains on that night. Gold Diggers spiked at 3,129,000 viewers (way above its average of 1,803,000 viewers) and Kasi Living - which averaged 437,000 the week before - caught an astonishing 1,783,000 viewers.

Lol I knew Generations would take a huge knock coz it played at 22:00 most people thought it wud not play that day .at least Gold Diggers benefited

As long as e.tv keeps bringing the heat on that 8pm slot, Generations will always have a monkey on its back. I think that spike Gold Diggers got will enable it to keep most of the viewers that tuned in that night.

SA's Got Talent is doing pretty well. It's for the first time I see it go passed the 3 million mark. High Rollers is getting better.

The road dropped from 400 000 plus the last week to 200 000 + this week .all the hype died down quickly even the number of tweetse have decreased.

The road has the potential to do as good as Isibaya, only if its concept was not a TV-show-on-a-TV-show. I believe had it focused on the Kofifi part only, it would have been a classic. I am now losing interest on it.

Scandal with 4miilion,big up. Scandal for 8pm. I wonder if Generations viewership was going to be greater than that of Uzalo if there were no stabance at 8pm,  BigUp to Uzalo. Im interested in the viewership of week 39, to see Skeem Saam results, the Lelo trial causes some hypes.. Will it reach 7 million?, that could be historic consering the 6:30 timeslot.

@Qavile.....Uzalo portrays the humble, everyday kasi kind of living. To think we watch it even before Gxabhashe come back......won't be easy to topple it.

We'll do a story about the music shows to give you an idea of what's happening with them.

soulx... we'd love to include the daily viewership but we can't unfortunately because it's just too time consuming.
