Mangi is made to realise that he has no business throwing criticism around while he is engaged in certain dealings. Mlungisi's hopes of keeping his life from imploding are dashed by a threat. Ndumiso receives encouraging information which makes him decide to back off from Gontse a bit.

Lucas retaliates against a couple but they stand firm and, in the process, embark on a new phase of their relationship. Mlungisi's attempt to tell the truth is interrupted and leaves him reticent to try again. A discovery about someone has Gontse seeing them in a new light.

One of Lucas's plans backfires and another earns his son the title of a traitor. Two people in Mlungisi's life receive news which upsets them greatly. Ndumiso believes that he is doing the right thing and is blissfully unaware of its actual impact.

There is a major fall out between family members and Layla arrives at a shocking and infuriating realisation. A friend warns against pushing a wife too hard, and a mother cannot tell her child the truth. A gift does not quite have the effect which Hloni had hoped for.

Layla makes an offer which she believes will set her up nicely and Mangi receives a lawyer's letter containing an order. Lindiwe and Scelo arrive at a horrifying conclusion. Something that two people actually want has one of them running away.

Dintle resorts to blackmail when she fears that her social status will take a drop. Zinzile accepts a truth about the past but fears for the future. Gloria is determined to stand in the way of a budding relationship.

Mangi is pleased that a problem in his life has been resolved but devastated that a big plan failed to come together. Scelo and Lindiwe discover that they will never be able to look at their father the same way again. Ndumiso sets his sights on bigger fish, but is really covering his pain.

Thembeka is brought face to face with one of her greatest fears and Mangi's freedom is vindictively threatened. An attempt at reconciliation goes horribly wrong when someone speaks without thinking first. Gloria's attempts to fix her daughter's life makes everybody's lives worse.

Thembeka contacts an old ally in a desperate attempt to put an end to her nightmare and Lucas is stunned when Mangi makes an extreme decision. Scelo stands firm in his anger and Zinzile is moved by a declaration. Friendships are endangered and a family falls out with each other after certain events at the launch.

Dintle has an unsettling encounter with Lucas which nevertheless intrigues her, and Thembeka has a devastating encounter with the truth. Zinzile is prepared to take a very difficult step, but someone discourages her from doing so. Ndumiso places his fate in the hands of seven numbers.

Layla plants a festering seed in Quinton's mind and Thembeka and Quinton receive news which leaves Thembeka feeling extremely insecure. Mlungisi is faced with a situation which shocks and confuses him. The discovery of someone's good fortune infuriates Gontse.
