Actress and screenwriter Thishiwe Ziqubu (who plays Thandi) has made a sudden and unexplained exit from SABC3 telenovela High Rollers.
Her role has been recast and will be played by Soul City star Nunu Khumalo, who will start appearing in the near future.
There's no word on why Thishiwe decided to leave and the series producers have asked for her privacy to be respected.
The news comes on the crest of Thishiwe's wave of on-screen popularity that she's ridden this year. Last year she starred in the movie Hard to Get which catapulted her into numerous TV roles this year. In addition to High Rollers, she's also been on Tempy Pushas, It's Complicated and Rhythm City, which she used to write for.
She's been surrounded by success but something big has obviously happened to spark the radical move and the request for privacy.
