Quick Note of Irritation

Isidingo
Kindly stop forcing these up-to-date news/sport worthy events in your script. We know what's going on around the world, and if you are goanna do it, ask the actors to look like they enjoy the conversations. They look like they are in a rush, to get back to their roles. As if, they just went into a newsroom to update the public about Zuma's resignation as the president. And if you're goanna do it, make it relevant to the character, like for example, Priya is too uptight to talk about Miss World event.

Then, there's the weird songs, you used to play alot during the sad scenes etc. We are not in America, you used to have a library of familiar songs like the other soapies. Maybe you want to be different, different isnt always good, or be good different, if your are goanna do that.

7de Laan
Everybody knows about the Laanies, go happy personality. We love it, that's what makes them stand out from the rest. However, Danelle just passed away on Friday and I was shocked at the height of happiness displayed yesterday, ISN'T IT TOO SOON? Did I miss something? It was more than annoying and irritating to watch. Even Pulane epically failed to show sadness and that was her 'suppose bff". Kim passingly and fakingly made some crocodile tear statement, which I can't remember now, but I wanted to pull my hair.

It's not the first time you lose a Laanie (like when Lindile went to join Generations), you've done well before, so that's why I am appalled(sp) at the below an average sympathy for the passing of one of your own. There's a time for everything. Im sure there's a scripture in the Bible about that too, look it up. Things can't just go back to normal so quickly, have a week of mourning/sadness.

All so true SP! - every instance you mention. Being so happy three days after a loved ones death is pure psycho.

Very interesting what you say about it not suiting Priya to talk about Miss World -  the show's made the bit about Miss World more important than the actual character - which should never happen!

Oh I could just kiss you now.

More than anything, I hate the part they make Lerato play when she see's those "celebrities". Like the time she saw Bonang and Dj Sbu, it was so painfully annoying damn. And do they really have to be so "in-our-face" with those adverts or announcements of Metro's. We get it SABC!!!!!!!.

Another thing, Ace/Skhumbuzo is supposed to be an ex-soccer star, what does he have to do with "entertainment" (I mean the awards). Could they not have gone to somebody an ON-Tv to get their publicity? (I stand to be corrected). I felt like they are trying to make Ace look/sound like some "socialite".

As for 7de Laan, I was even bored with Diederik's speech about how he and Danelle grew up. I think they could have done more to make that scene more moving.
