Rockville Season 3 filming in progress
Filming for Season 3 of Mzansi Magic’s (DStv Channel 161) Rockville kicked off on 6 October 2014.
Season 1 of Rockville lifted the lid on the drama, sacrifices and subterfuge that it takes to get to the top in modern-day South Africa – and when Season 2 appeared in February 2014, it only upped the ante on this gripping, dark and edgy drama series.
Rockville Season 3 shifts the focus of the narrative internally, exploring the inner conflicts that life choices and situations present.
Several of South Africa’s most accomplished actors join the cast of the acclaimed homegrown drama series. Terry Pheto (Long Walk To Freedom; Tsotsi; Catch A Fire) and Hlomla Dandala (Isidingo; Jacob’s Cross) are among those who have joined the popular drama series, produced for Mzansi Magic by Ferguson Films.
Others making their appearance when Rockville Season 3 premieres in January 2015 are Khanya Mkhangisa (Zabalaza), Don Mlangeni Nawa (Isidingo), Fezile Makhanya (Zone 14) and Nunu Khumalo (Soul City 12).
The six new actors join an already stellar cast – including Connie Ferguson, Shona Ferguson, Boity Thulo, Lehasa Moloi, Thembsie Matu, Trevor Gumbi and Mbali Mlotshwa – that has ensured Rockville is one of the most-watched dramas on Mzansi Magic since it first debuted in 2013.
