Kenyan telenovela Mali premiered on SABC2 this month, in the 19h30 slot, Mondays to Wednesdays.

Monday 14 July 2014
Episode 1
Mwambu threatens to reveal Mali’s secret dealings and Mali will have none of it. Mali believes there is a traitor at Mali holdings and will leave no stone unturned until he finds out who it is. Mabel and Usha argue over who should host the birthday party.
Tony is being pressured by Nandi and when G finds out Nandi is unwell, he wants her back with immediate effect but Mabel discovers a secret about Nandi. Richard has to choose between working for his father and remaining in private practice.

Episode 2
Usha has already contracted a caterer for G’s birthday and Mabel smells foul play. Tony demands that Nandi aborts the baby. G is on a mission to crash Mwambu and every single minute he works hard to find dirt on Mwambu.
Richard on the other hand suspects G, his father, is involved in an illegal land deal. Mabel is worried about Nandi and her pregnancy. Lulu makes a fool of herself on TV and Usha uses the moment to scorn Mabel. Richard has to choose whether to work for G or Mwambu.

Episode 3
Nandi is warming up to an abortion but will have to make a personal decision which worries Tony. Usha is on a mission to ensure that G holds his birthday party at her home. Lulu, in her usual style, reveals to Arthur that Nandi is pregnant to Arthur’s shock.
Mali continues with his land deal but reacts angrily when he finds out that Nandi is pregnant. Usha on the other hand is worried that Richard’s dealings with Mwambu will wedge Richard’s relationship with his father.

Episode 4
G is furious that Mwambu’s rival newspaper has gone ahead and implicated G. Mabel would like Usha and herself to work closely in organizing the birthday party but Usha will have none of it as she is angry with Richard who, on the other hand, is angry with Mwambu for using him to get back at his father.
Richard is on everyone’s lips and the whole family sees him as a traitor - apart from his mother Usha. The editorial team is on a chase and they are working hard to get a counter article to tarnish Mwambu’s name although Bella is completely against the plot.

Episode 5
Bella is worried for G and advises him to tread carefully in his fight with Mwambu. However, G is interested in finding out who impregnated Nandi and would like Bella to get to the bottom of it.
Fadhili and Usha hatch a plan to bar Richard from working with Mwambu - this includes using Nikita who has just begun working at Mwambu’s. Lulu and Arthur aren’t interested in the family squabbles and are busy organizing for their father’s surprise party.

Episode 6
Mabel is shocked to find out G’s birthday party will be in a new location. Mwambu is furious with the headline that G’s paper has published while G, across the bridge, congratulates his editorial team for smearing Mwambu. He also promotes Tony.

Episode 7
Usha and Mabel are on a search for G as he did not come home. Lulu and Arthur plan birthday ideas and presents for G. G confronts Mwambu in his office while Nikita makes a move on Richard.

Episode 8
Usha confronts Richard about working for Mwambu while Richard files a law suite against G. Mabel confronts Usha about Richard. Bella finds out Nandi is the person who’s been on Tony’s case. She suspects Tony is Nandi’s baby daddy.

Episode 9
Arthur is made intern at Mali Holdings, Fadhili gets an unpleasant visit from wife and kids, thus revealing his secret identity. Lulu and Arthur surprise G in the office while Mabel proposes a trip to the UK to visit Nandi.
