I know that Nonhle Thema is such a BIG **yawn**. However, people seem to think she's lost her mind, but I have reason to believe she's just doing what any woman who's fallen from grace would do, FIGHT to remain relevant.
The latest publicity stunt and attention seeking rants pulled by the once admirable Nonhle Thema, are enough proof that it's a mission to stay relevant in our small South African Entertainment industry.
She's coming out with guns blazing with her Kenny Kunene tendencies that she's worth R10 million and she's the first to do everything: First to go to the moon, First to be on TV, First to be on a plane, First to speak English... **yawn**
What's making her relevant at the moment? NOTHING, so it's ideal for her to pull the Twitter stunts and guess what?... It's working. She even made it into the Sunday tabloids. Hip Hip Horaay.
Let's see if she'll get REAL jobs from all these stunts. Afterall, she is an "International celebrity" - well, that's what she calls herself.
Another one that's biting the dust in Kelly Khumalo. Whether her latest stunts are due to some "medication" or it's all intentional, is something only time will tell. She was almost gone and forgotten before those Drum exclusive pics, then all of a Sunday and every other day, she's on tabloids and magazines.
Maybe she's releasing an album, why else would she make so much noise? Until then, we shall wait and see...
The Queen and master of Staying Relevant is none other than Miss Mbau. Isn't it hard to believe that she got soooooo much media attention for a short appearance on Mzansi and Muvhango. NOT!
It was everything else she did off screen that got her noticed. If it was dramatic and outrageous, it had Khanyi Mbau's name written all over it. It's unbelieavable that her last "proper, paying job" was 5 years ago? Mmmh...
Argh I forgot, she gets paid R40 000 per appearance at functions. How could I forget. Is that why we're not seeing much of her lately? Event organisers can't afford to have someone that is more expensive than the entire event.
Talking about money, it would be really great for Khanyi Mbau to tell Nonhle Thema that she blew R10 million times 5, in less than 2 years. Ask Mandla... that's if you can track him down... but with R10 million, you can afford the best PI money can buy. That's if all that R10 million belongs to you.
But...
Then again. Is it really a sin to fight to remain relevant?
