Possibly one of the most well organized awards and events around. The 4th MTN Radio Awards went down in Sandton on Saturday and didn’t disappoint at all. Unlike other events and award ceremonies there were no long queues for accreditation or registration - it was all smooth sailing.
My eyes grew lovingly on the confident and vibrant host, radio, author, television personality and now also comedian Anele Mdoda who hosted the awards for the 3rd time - she did a stellar job. Cracking jokes and even laughing at herself - who wouldn’t if they were Anele? She should host more events to keep people interested.
It was also a breath of fresh air to see people following the black tie/ cocktail look. Well except for hip hop artist Slikour who was in jeans, sneakers and sweat top. He stuck out like a sore thumb, maybe that was the intention. His image would gouge your eyeballs from their sockets.
