Here’s an inside look at another 2 characters and the actors who portray them.
Fernando Sucre 
Fernando is in prison for 2 counts of Aggravated Robbery. He is currently serving a sentence of 17 years and still has 9 years and 10 months left to go. He is eligible for parole in 1 year and 4 months and given his model behavior during his incarceration, there is a good chance that his parole will be granted.
However, Fernando’s relationship with his fiancé, Maricruz, is taking some strain. There seems to be someone else vying for Maricruz’s attention and Fernando is desperate to get to her now. So he puts his parole and his life at risk and joins Michael in his attempt to escape.
The role of Fernando Sucre is played by Amaury Nolasco.
Amaury was born and raised in Puerto Rico. He wanted to become a doctor and was studying Biology at the University of Puerto Rico when he was approached by a director to do a commercial.
Not long after that he moved to New York to study at the American British Dramatic Arts School.
Since then he has guest starred in many TV Series such as CSI, George Lopez, ER but is better known as Orange Julius in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
Fernando is one of my favorite characters (a close second after Michael). I love his intensity and I also enjoy the comic element he brings to the show. That he is of Latin American decent and yummy eye candy is an added bonus.
John Abruzzi Abruzzi is in prison for 2 counts of murder and 2 counts of conspiracy to commit murder. His sentence is 120 years (life). Of which he has served three, and will never be eligible for parole.
He was convicted after testimony by a certain Fibonacci and has since taken a hit out on him.
Abruzzi is played by Swedish born Peter Stormare.
Stormare has a pretty impressive bibliography and he’s appeared in movies such as Fargo, Awakenings, Minority Report, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, The Big Lebowski, 8MM, Bad Boys II and Armageddon.
He can soon be seen in The Brothers Grimm opposite Matt Damon and Heath Ledger.
Another interesting tidbit on Stormare is that he is part of a 5 man rock and roll band called
Blond From Fargo.
