This show can't get any better!
It started off at the Rhea Reynolds crime scene where the carver has killed the fake victim. Christian is subsequently arrested for the murder and interrogated by Kit who accuses him of being the carver.
Sean is not entirely convinced that Christian is innocent and hesitates when Christian tells him that he's going to take a loan against the practice to pay his gigantic lawyer fees.
Kit locates Christian's biological mother and brings here in to meet her son. After the psycho encounter with the psycho mother Christian wishes that he never found out she was still alive. She tells him that his father was a serial rapist and she was one of his victims. Hence he has violence in his blood.
Sean and Christian initially keep the story silent but eventually Christian leaks news of his arrest to the press. A calculated move on his part because he realises that the carver will strike again.
And yes, the carver strikes and Christian is released from jail.
He returns to work immediately and is asked to treat the carver's latest victim.

I don't think Quentin is the carver. It smacks of being too obvious. My new suspect... Liz.
