Day 8: Loves Moves In

2 June 2003A jacuzzi and booze obviously equals love. Within the space of the weekend many of the Big Brother housemates have started romantic liasons in weirdy ways. The most interesting thing about it all is that they genuinely seem to believe there may be true, deeper feelings between some of them after just one week.

Friday night saw Warona getting very odd. Whispering in Zein's ear that Tapuwa really 'liked' him and stuff. Remember - Zein and Warona are thick as thieves. Zein was very drunk and stumbled inside feeling sick. Sammy explained that he couldn't understand why Warona kept mothering Zein and fussing over him as if she had a 'thing' for him, and yet encouraged him to take notice of Tapuwa's supposed intentions. Good point there Sammy. It's very odd indeed. What was she up to?

As for Zein. Whewie. Please forgive me when I say that I find him a complete and utter baby. Wherever Warona is, so he goes, which makes him appear so needy. Add to this Friday night, and I'm not terribly impressed. Look, it's not the fact that he couldn't handle his booze - that can happen to anyone - no, it's more about the way he responded the next day.

He went into the diary room, and when Big Brother asked him about the Friday night revelry he wouldn't say a word. Not a word. He sat, looking sheepish, hanging his head - looking like he'd taken too many biscuits from the cookie jar. What was he thinking?! Does he not realise we saw it all? I wanted to shout: "Speak up man. Share what's in your head." But no, he was in there for less than five minutes and then scarpered off in shame. No explanations. No assessments. No impressions. Nothing. Even if he couldn't remember it all properly - why didn't he tell us? He's 100 percent secretive - not as a game strategy, but because that's just how he is. Why is he on the show?

In other love news - none of the men really know which of them Abby wants. Naturally, because she's snuggled and loved everyone except Zein - possibly because he belongs to Warona? You know, it's interesting, surely the men can see that Abby's playing a game with them? Thing is, when she pays attention their egos are so stroked they seem to struggle to realise that it's not really them she wants. All she has to do is stare into their eyes and rub her body against theirs, and they're sold. I have tried to pick up some suspicion on their part and I just can't see it. Yet.

So as we move into the second week there are at least a few intrigues to keep us on the go. There's lots of other love news, but I shan't drone on and on. I shall instead leave you with a "what do you think"? What have you noticed? Who likes who and why?

PS - I see Big Brother is moving back to Open Time. Why didn't they listen to me sooner!? I have ranted on and on about the problems of not having it in Open Time. They just look so silly now. Like they were trying to get greedy and it backfired on them. I am not so sure that they changed it out of the goodness of their hearts as they said. I think they either did it because they'd look really bad not opening it up if they got lots of requests, or they did it because veiwership dropped BigTime as a result.
