Amy' First Conquest
Katrina's gone!! Sweet readers I am soooo pleased! After the recap episode of last week I really wanted things to move forward and Katrina's leaving couldn't have been more exciting.

Amy was so impressive and inspiring in the boardroom and through it all I felt as if I was right there with her - forcing myself not to over-explain but rather to get to the point, the point being: getting the best deal out of the situation for you that you possibly can.

Amy's saying that she wanted to battle it out against the best at the end was excellent too, and - when The Donald asked if she was prepared to annihilate them she said yes! Arrrgh. You could see how hectic that was for her, but she did it with poise and it all ended happily with Katrina boobling her way to the street.

To her credit Katrina didn't back down in the boardroom and stood her ground until the end, but the ammunition she was using was just totally self-destructive. The whole Amy/Nick have a relationship thing sounded like an obsessed high school girl telling tales, which is obviously not the sort of thing The Donald's looking for. Even if what she was saying about Amy favouring Nick is true. Which I'm not sure about and which is exactly why I'm so impressed with Amy.

You Have To Be Fired Next!

I want to see her destroy Nick into tiny shards, his red hair congealing in pained anguish with his iffy mug. And she could, because he did absolutely nothing except stand and hold a telephone and say: "Wait till my team sees what I'm doing next".

What was he actually doing at the casino? What were any of them doing?! Is it just too much festive cheer on my part or did you also have no clue as to what was going on?

I got the bit about them needing to assist The Donald in trying to up the moolah at his Taj Mahal casino - which as we know is a situation The Donald's faced in real life - but then I couldn't understand exactly how Amy's team were actually trying to do it. It had a lot to do with that stupid competition in which they raffled a car for a day.

I was so pleased The Donald mentioned how ridiculous it was because I thought I'd lost the plot or something in not understanding what they were doing. How can you possibly think there's something appealing to winning a rented car for a day? It's such a horrble thing to have to go through. And those poor models they hired to hand out entries into the draw ... how hectic was Bill?!

VIP's

Wow. As he shoved them off I felt a pang of pity for them - but Bill was right. Not only in getting rid of the competition from his spot but also in terms of them being vultures. You know - it's one thing I cannot stand - being either vultured or being a vulture, and even though the models weren't being proper vultures because they were just trying to be pretty it was still the impression they gave.

Bill's soooo ... what is he? I mean - he said he doesn't like Troy at all and Troy is very cool; he got very edgy with the other team and was the same with Katrina last week; he didn't give Amy credit for the advertising on the rickshaw being her idea; yet - I still like him. How does that work?

I used to think he was Mr Nice Guy and I don't think he is anymore, but it doesn't matter - which maybe has something to do with when he and Kwame and Troy were celebrating their win at the end and Bill said they were all wearing happy faces.

I definitely agree with Amy that he's very tough competition. He's quite mysterious. Sitting around that casino table, encouraging Kwame to bet, swinging back on his chair and booze - he looked very yum.

So Amy and Bill it is as favourite-favourites for the end, because I reckon out of them all they do business best.

Troy and Kwame have got something different going on business-wise. Troy more so than Kwame. It's what Bill was meaning about the way Troy does business. On one hand he doesn't take it personally but on another he does. His friendship with Kwame is personal, the way he 'charms' people into deals is personal, as are some of the ideas he implements.

Shipping in a tiger was very impressive and he enjoyed it but that's all it was because it didn't do anything to make them more money.

Kwame is way less personal in his approach and made a good team leader - except I'm never sure exactly what it is he himself organises because he gives away too much power. He and Amy had the chance to lead as they needed and I'm assuming next week they're all gonna come together and work as one team, which means each of them are gonna have to try to push their individual strengths as much as they can. Which is gonna be the final test.

Eyes Wide Shut

And! How was that kid?! The one who owned the tiger and gave Troy, Kwame and Bill the life lessons. Arrrrgh. Why isn't he in bed or at school? From what I could work out that was his job. Producing the circus act. How? Where did he get the moolah? If someone could explain this all to me I'd be very pleased. Particularly because I've forgotten his life lesson.

And Trumpy's hair! Wiglessly blowing in the wind. Him coming down the elevator and walking through the casino floor greeting and being greeted - let it not be said The Donald does not have a need to impress. And I am impressed.

For some reason this episode really impressed me. I think it's because of the gold waterfall. The colour's ridiculous but the overall effect of it is impressive and if I was in the neighbourhood I'd definitely want to visit to see it. Same with the Penthouse suite at the Taj Mahal. It's all just so much that I would walk in and chortle madly, then moon around eye-balling everything, then lie on everything and switch every button.

I'd also sleep on the way to the casino the way Amy did on the plane and I didn't agree with Troy when he said they were being ridiculous. When something starts transporting me my eyes just automatically close.

What do you think of this whole business thing? Do you also think Bill and Amy have the right idea about it all? What about Kwame? Am I missing something with him, because he doesn't step into the limelight? And Troy? Are his ideas too hare-brained? And Nick? Will we see his demise next week!
