Vusi Kunene continues his hot property streak with a pivotal role on the new extended isiBaya when the show revs up to five days a week from this Monday (17 March).

Vusi, who sported his snappy dress sense at the Royalty Soapie Awards this past weekend, has swapped one "isi" for another. He's officially out of Isidingo and it's highly unlikely that he'll ever return.

His character Jefferson Sibeko left the show for Ghana last week and will stay there indefinitely. He'll put in a quick re-appearance in May when Jefferson returns but he'll only stay for a day or two before returning to Ghana.

Word from an insider is that he won't die so there's the possibility that he might return in the future but with isiBaya going into overdrive this seems very improbable.

On the isiBaya front, he plays Bhekhifa Gabriel (Ntshangase) Ngubane, a powerful man who's mad with power, who wears perfect suits. On the surface he seems elegant but beneath the surface he's dangerous, cunning and intent on bringing down those who've wronged him.

Here's more about him:

Bhekifa is a powerful scrap metal mogul, a self made man, powerful and rich with a chip on his shoulder. He owns a share in a night club, which he bought when the owner got into trouble, simply because he likes having meetings there.

He is very fastidious about his clothing, always looks impeccable and well groomed. He loves listening to opera, which he was introduced to by his dead wife.

She was the love of his life and died during the violent clashes in Thokoza between the SDU’s and Hostel dwellers. He has a son from her, Zweli whom he loves. He has a dark past with a prison sentence served and vendetta against the valley.

Vusi makes his debut this Monday.

Definitely he's going to do that, you know how he does it when he is serious, I just love him where acting is concerned. All the best Vusi.

I just love this man. If I were to pick one actor to lunch with one beautiful day in the entire world, it would be him. Sad I won't see Isibaya this week.
