How to apply for SABC 2014 internships

The SABC has released information on internships for 2014. The pubcaster offers annual internships and learnerships for various aspects of TV and radio.

The internship categories that are covered are as follows:

Journalism
Broadcast Engineering
Radio and TV operations
Electrical Engineering (light current) and
where applicable internships in other fields - dependant on the industry and economic environment

The learnerships offered are for the following categories:

Broadcast Engineering
Radio production
Television operations
Other media and broadcast related fields

Please provide more information when is the closing date where should we send the application forms? Where do we find the reference numbers? What is the age requirement ?

Hey everyone ... you'll see that they give an e-mail address for the person you can contact with your queries at the SABC: Refilwe Kgamedi. This her addy: kgamedirk@sabc.co.za.

You can't submit your applications to her but you can ask where to send them. Also, the document gives other info ... the age requirements etc.

It's the document titled "Learnerships & Internships - General info." Click the "View" link next to it and you'll get to the info.

Do you by some chance know when the closing date is or how long will it take for Refilwe to reply. I have sent her an email but she hasn't replied. Has Refilwe replied to any of you guys?

Hi I've also sent an e-mail(kgamedirk@sabc.co.za) to enquire about the closing date and how to apply but still nothing. Can anyone urgently help please, don't want to miss out. Thank you

Hi i also sent in my query to the the suggested email address a while back regarding on how to go about applying since the link doesnt want to open as well as the closing date but till dis date i havent recieved any reply,in concern, thanks.

Hey everyone we've investigated and it turns out the applications closed on 17 December already - before we even published the story!! Apparently the marketing internships were extended to 27 December - which there was no mention of with the applications either.

SABC Education tweeted a link to apply for the internships on 19 December - the day we wrote the story - the reason we did the story to inform you. There was no mention on the site that applications were closed already. All in all it's a case of very bad online communication from the SABC.

Hellow I'm ntombi and I'd like to know if aint there an easier way to apply than sendng emails to you,and besides I'm very passionate about being on television,I'm a hard worker too.sometimes in life its nicer to get to explore more hey nd get to know what's happening around you so I hope to get a chance in being an intern on SABC and persuing my dream.thank you
