It's been almost six years since Derek Van Dam
arrived in South Africa from Detroit to head up the weather department on e.News and eNCA.
When he first arrived it wasn't clear whether he would stay here or return to America once he'd set up the department.
Turns out he's decided to stay and doesn't want to go anywhere. In fact, he wants to stay in South Africa for forever. For a number of reasons.
