It happened with Talking Bad and now it's happening with Talking Dead too - we're being snubbed! South Africa and the rest of Africa's been forgotten and left out.
In case you aren't familiar with them ... Talking Bad and Talking Dead are live companion after-shows to Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead. In America they air after an episode and feature chatter about the episode. Guests on them include schleb fans of the shows, cast, producers and crew who talk about various aspects of the episode with titbits, opinions etc.
It's beyond ridiculous that we aren't getting to see them - this past Monday night FOX broadcast The Walking Dead 4 premiere twice in a row. As soon as the first screening finished the repeat happened - when we
should have seen Talking Dead instead.
It's unbelievably frustrating because we're missing out on such an important part of the experience of watching the series.
The same thing happened with the last season of Survivor that aired on SABC3 - Redemption Island. If you're a Survivor fan you'll know that the show has a series of companion web videos that follows what happens to the jury members after they voted out and go to Ponderosa.
We always carry them on TVSA but we weren't able to for the season because it wasn't possible to access them from South Africa. All of the videos gave those annoying: "Not available in your country," messages. I enquired from CBS and they were like: "These videos are not cleared for international usage. Sorry!"
I've tried to find both Talking Bad and Talking Dead online but they aren't available on the official sites either. Bah!
I've managed to find some episodes that have been uploaded by kind souls across the internet but they aren't consistent so they aren't all available. It's a huge and random mission when it shouldn't be. It should simply be on TV or on their official sites.
A plea to whoever's responsible:
please stop leaving us out and give us the after-shows too!
