Season 4 of
The Walking Dead premiered on FOX on Monday (14th) and it was balm to my soul - so freshly intriguing I thought. I really enjoyed the shift in energy from that frenzied and urgent fight to survive to a quieter, calmer mood as a result of them taming of the zombies.
What's bizarre is that they've managed to win power over the zombies from the inside out. Even though Rick & Co. are the ones who are caged within their prison walls, they've still managed to invert the situation so that it's actually the zombies who are caged on the outside, which gives our heroes freedom.
It was such a cool metaphor for peace of mind don't you think? How you have to cage the zombies that tug at your peace of mind and then, once they're outside of your head, you need to shut them out. Fight them and then literally cage them on the outside of your psyche. Trippy!!
