A heads-up that the final four episodes of
Under the Dome on M-Net will be airing in double bills. A new
Toni Collette kidnapping series called Hostages will be starting once it ends - M-Net wants to speed up Under the Dome so that Hostages premieres in close proximity to its US debut date.
The Under the Dome double bills are only happening in September but I thought I'd tell you now so that I don't forget and also, to let out a whoop! at how cool the show is. It's really blowing my hair back - been finding it very emotionally authentic - people's reponses to their situation are exactly as you'd imagine they'd be if a Dome really descended on us.
Oh wait, though ... it has. We just can't see it as clearly nor touch it but it's there, trapping us in the dogmas, judgements, prejudices, injustices, petty issues, betrayals and all the other prisons established by society.
... I've just realised ... we can escape the dome through TV. TV gives us a leap into someone else's world - allows us to step into an alternative dome. Trippy!
The roundabout metaphors are why I'm so hooked on the show - it's been giving me stacks to think about and satisfies my insanity so two-hour blitzes will be fun.
The double bills will be on Tuesday, 24 September and 1 October. Episodes 10 and 11 will be on the 24th - starting at 20h05. Episodes 12 and 13 - the finale - will be on 1 October, also starting at 20h05.
