In search of family.
e.tv's Scandal! will be in KwaZulu-Natal this weekend in search of two new actors to join the show.
The soapie's looking to cast two roles for an upcoming storyline: one male and one female. The storyline involves Kila (played by Siyabonga Shibe) and will see members of his family join him in Johannesburg.
This from Stan Joseph of Ochre Moving Pictures, the show's production company: "We are looking to cast two authentic people in these roles and we felt that the province had an abundance of raw talent that is waiting to be discovered. Our casting audition process will uncover the unpolished potential stars of tomorrow and offer them a platform to act alongside the best in the South African soapie industry."
Auditions take place at Durban's City Hall this Friday (9 March) and Saturday (10 March), between 09h00 and 17h00. Auditions for the female role are on Friday and auditions for the male role are on Saturday. Castings are on a first come, first serve basis and will end at 17h00 on the dot.
The judging panel will be made up of both Scandal! actors and producers. According to Series Producer Ilse van Hemert, the roles are substantial: "Without giving too much away, both the characters are substantial and permanent roles and will offer an amazing platform for two talented individuals to light up our small screen and unveil their acting potential.”
