Idols Top 8 song choices - take 2

Following last night's judges' save of Kelly, the Idols do a re-take of the Top 8 this week, with two eliminations next Tuesday.

Their theme for the week: choirs. The Mzansi Youth Choir will be joining them to sing backing vocals. As you'll see, their song choices are inspirationally themed.

Also making a comeback is a guest judge (seems everyone's over the Cofield Mundi fiasco).  The guest judge this week is American R 'n B,  jazz and gospel singer Chanté Moore.

James Blunt will also be in the action to open the show.

Their song choices are:

Crushanda: I Believe I Can Fly by R. Kelly

Dave: Bridge Over Troubled Waters by Simon & Garfunkel

Dené: (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me) Higher And Higher by Jackei Wilson

Erin: Put A Little Love In Your Heart by Jackie DeShannon

Freddie: Forget You by Cee Lo Green

Kelly: I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) by Aretha Franklin and George Michael

Lefa: Lean On Me by Bill Withers

Mark: Somebody To Love by Queen

Once again Lefa made a great choice, he should just be careful and try not to hit too many high notes...Oh my I sound like a judge already, i think i should have been in Unathi's place lol.  Dave please do justice to that song, i love it.  Kelly is so going to redeem herself and Mark is going to nail it i know it for sure.  I so much love Idols, i don't know what i am going to once it is finished.  I am still sulking over BBA.

I am also still sulking and vengeful over BBA. My family is even so chuffed with me so moaning for so long. Will we ever get over the heartache? I love Kelly so much. to me she is THE IDOL. This song she has chosen is just good. But give Kelly anything and she is superb. I am still searching my soul whether I will watch BBA again or am maybe fooling myself at the moment.

Mrs Chix, I was surprised when I saw BBA finale on Africa Magic but i was not interested to watch it. The way I cried on 31 July neh, it was like somebody died. I foresee myself crying when Lefa goes home smh.

Eish Princess1 what you are saying is not easy. After  I voted for Eddie and Kevin I vowed to watch and not vote in BBA again. But I was voting for Munya and Luclay like mad. Especially this year I never voted so much with my phone but look what happened! My biggest wish is that there are no South African reps so that I can watch but not be compelled to vote. Its time I enjoyed my airtime money anywhere else but Big Brother. Sorry to bore you people about BBA. It is so hard to let go of my heartache eish.
