Last Friday, me and my niece made our way to Vodaworld in Midrand for the recording of ‘top 15 episode’ of this year ‘s Idols.
We were assisted by Michelle (I think) from Mnet to get our entrance tag, and yah the event started at exactly 8 pm and lasted for exactly 2 hours. I must say I like Mnet, they soo organised! Everything else was in order, the band, the sound , the performances and everything else nje.
The judges.
Call me boring but i like Unathi's judging. She gives constructive critism with a smile on her face. She doesnt break people. Big Up to her.
Gareth was also big on compliments that day, as for Randall? mhmmm hard to please man.
Here's the list of song choices . And i must agree with the judges most of them chose songs that were too 'big' , but they managed to perform them well.
The show started with Joss being eliminated after the viewers votes were not enough to make her beat Kelly to the top 15 spot. Shem it made me realise how cruel these talent shows are, like how much strength one needs to have to enter. I would just break down and lock myelf away.
I must say that all perfomances were good to me , I don’t remember any perfomances that I didn’t like. However Phaksy , Dene, Khloe, Power, Crushanda, Kelly and Dave stood out for me.
I liked Power when he goooied the sika dance in the middle of a pop song, and Kelly’s energy on stage.
So this week, the top 15 will be cut to top 10. And its our votes that keep them in the competition. So vote to keep your favourite in the competition.

And now that Mzantsi Magic is showing the Sunday show, can anyone who know people in the right places let me (and other compact viewers) know if they will be showing the results show on Tuesday too? Phela paying more than R500 just for results show is too much.
I have a feeling that Miss J & Mark wont make the top 10, angazi. What did y’all think of the contestants. There is just soo much talent this season and i have soo many favorites. So who do you think will be leaving and who is staying.
