Following all the interest in the Oprah
series finale which aired in the US last week, SABC3 has announced that the channel will air Oprah's final three shows in a special before the season ends here.
The 25th season will continue in it's usual timeslot of weekdays at 17h30 and the three-part special will run concurrently, starting on Thursday 30 June at 19h30.
Oprah's very final episode aired in the US last Wednesday (25 May) and was preceded by a two-part farewell special.
SABC3 will be airing these as follows:

|14 July at 19h30:

The farewell special was recorded at the United Center in Chicago (an indoor sports centre) for a live audience of 13 000 guests. It features celebrity guests performing and talking about what the show has meant to them over the years.
Oprah didn't know who was going to be involved so each performance was a suprise to her. Guests who appear include Will Smith, Beyoncé, Tom Hanks, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Jamie Foxx, Aretha Franklin, Josh Grobin, Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning and John Legend.
Even trusty Stedman puts in an appearance.
For the very final episode, Oprah hosts alone, with no guests. She thanks viewers and her staff and says her farewell.
All three of the episodes will be rebroadcast in the 17h30 timelsot once the season reaches the end here later in the year.
