During last year's season of
Big Brother All Stars we suggested that M-Net run the show for 365 days a year and they've responded. We've hardly had a moment to get our sanity back since the end of the show and already a new season has been confirmed.
With only three months between seasons the production team are obviously still in therapy to get over the madness because entries opened a week ago already but the South African media weren't informed until yesterday.
All that Big Brother could muster by way of a global announcement to everyone was one quick tweet last Monday, hidden by the crack of dawn, that said:
Translate to: "ARGH! I can't BELIEVE I have to go through all this again already. I'm going rush and whisper this tweet and then
never tweet about it again so that nobody notices it's actually happening."
To cut a long (91 days again) story short: the show will back for a sixth season from Sunday, 1 May 2011 and the search for housemates is
on. Unlike last season which featured previous housemates, this season is once more open to everyone over 21, from the countries eligible to enter.
These are: Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The prize: 200 000 US dollars.
