Oprah's Queen Of Talk Exit, Starts January

Confirmed! The 25th and final-ever season of Oprah premieres on SABC3 in early 2011 and will be part of the global countdown to Oprah's exit as Queen of Talk.

The final episode of the series airs in the US on Friday, 9 September 2011.

Word from SABC3 is that the channel will be structuring and airing the season's episodes so that we can be part of the build-up to Oprah's swansong i.e. see her final episodes as close to the US as possible. We'll keep you posted on the exact premiere date as soon as we hear.

In the meantime, rebroadcasts of Season 24 continue in the daily Oprah slot. The line-up this week:

I don't get it, I thought all those repeats every other day were meant to ensure that there was no need to go a few months without new episodes.

We thought that too Ingenuity but now it turns out there aren't enough episodes anyway. The only difference it seemed to make is that the repeat weeks start later this year.

Hopefully there won't be so many weekly repeats next year with the countdown to the end - if we see the finale episode at the same time as the US we'll need to see more new episodes a week to stay up to date because of it all ending in September.
