"Love in a time of what?...I hear the uninitiated say, yes "love in a time of blackouts" my comedy cum drama cum What-The-Hell- is-going-on short film about love, drugs ,hallucination and loadshedding is finaly getting some love on air.The premise of the story is what stupid and fun things did people do, to pass the time during the loadshedding season,and what happens if the fun gets a bit too much?
I shot this last year ,funny enough around this time with zero budget, a dedicated crew,some briliant first time actors and finished post early this year.Since it's completion,Ive been shopping it around festivals , on the net ( both on youtube and facebook) and now the kind guys at Soweto tv are screening it.
So why should you check this flick out,one it's funny,2 it will toy with your head and 3, if you look deep enough you will see some meaningful discussions topics that we all need to have with ourselves and our siblings.4.If it's bad or good ,we can have a nice discussions on monday where I will answer all questions that you may have,now imagine if you could say the same thing about the guys who did ekasi or society.
