APCH: Takes Two Steps Back & One Forward

So we have Cassius back, Lindiwe back and of course Sphiwe. So if you were worried about last weeks event having a bearing on this episode ,well it seems you were the only one cause the writers didn’t see anything wrong with not tieing up lose ends from the previous episode. Such as ; A) Moferefere and gang. Since last week great escape by Sphiwe and Precious there was no hint at Mofereferes action towards Sphiwe (the Hero), Precious (the damsel) and Mavest (the arch enemy) who engineered the escape. B) We don’t have a clue on the whereabouts or conditions of Mavesta and Precious after the escape.c) In other words the principle of cause and effect seems not to work in the APCH universe. Instead we have Sphiwe feeling sorry for himself and his book launch, Lindiwe finaly dumping her producer and another meandering story with Cassius around his inherited hat. All in all I thought the episode was just pass bearable but it’s shocking how terrible the writing on this show is getting week by week.
Sphiwe’s story was at least bearable cause for once there was some bit of tension in it. Due to the fact that poor Lindiwe, who had dropped off the face of the planet as far as APCH is concerned ,had made a return and was searching for Sphiwe.AASo there was that romantic tensionthroughout the episode ,will the meet or not? Espicially since she has realized that shes lonely mostly due to Q,her producer. Unfortuneatly it did not happen but it left hope for something interesting in that department. Hopefully they will follow through on it next week instead f dumping it and going into a whole new angle. The other story with the book launch and Cassius was a bit dodgy though.

Cassius is always a fun character to watch, the actor gives him the right energy and spunk that teeters between buffoonery and tragic side kick hero type. So it’s always great to see him on screen and the story with his fathers hat ,meant we got to see more of him. Nevermind the finer details of where was Cas’s old man all this time and how did he get the mans postal address? And since when do Jozi hobo’s have money to pay for a post box? Anyhow the hat and the reverence Cas’ was giving it, made him very endearing. Unfortunately him crashing Sphiwe’s party just showed how far his character still needs to grow. Which is not a bad thing at all.

Which brings me to my gripes with the series thus far, it has an interesting premise and characters. But the pay off to the investment viewers put into characters and stories has been far from rewarding at late. The story has no flow no more, ideas and logic behind the overall story structure is just morbid. Onecan no longer tell where the story is headed cause it does not gel well with were it has been. The writing is really starting to be infuriating. The most annoying thing though is that, when this current season started, everything was on point both with character development and overall story development .But instead of APCH getting better with time, the opposite is now occurring,it is actually getting so bad that its starting to resemble a soapie than a series.Where the plot is so severely mishandled that the action of the characters and motivation seem to be meaningless, things seem to just happen without any motivation or proper set up but the worst the series is not really building towards anything anymore. If they are,the writers and producers are doing a bad job at stalling..What gives? If anyone has a contact with the guys at T.O.M pictures please let us know, the guys have to answer for butchering such a great start. I hope the end is near before they really screw everything up.Sweet

I just think the Storyline is perhaps too diverse that at the end of the day even the writes lose the plot here and there. Overall, I think it's a great story....very underrated.

writers not writes...TVSA....can we please have an edit functionality to the blogs.

I also find Mihloti's part quite interesting...apart from the fact that I just love Bubu, I just find her character (like most characters on APCH) quite real.

I dont think its it being diverse if you watch lets say season 1 and 2 of Yizo Yizo, Lost even the current season of the lab. There are alot of characters in the series but you never feel as if you are being cheated on plot points and how the story is developing. The writers have lost the plot for the past 6 episodes and that has to do with structure which is something the guys work on before they even start writing down dialogue or hiring actors.the fact that this was not picked up on in the first place is a serious indictment on the producers.

i agree with you that the sries is good, but  the past six episode have been terrible story wise and character wise.

I agree with tha-bang. There are too many loose ends. I thought i was gonna at least see Moferefere gunning after Sphiwe or something, coz there's no way that they (Moferefere's gang) still don't know where to find Sphiwe. And whatever happened to Mihloti's love triangle??

I guess now the only reason i watch is because i want to see how thing will turn out in the end, and not because it's a great story

kanti last nights episode was not the last one???
I have never watched a full episode of this story, but i know a bit about Sphiwe and the girl(who is now a singer), and seeing that Sphiwe published a book and the girl is now a musician and mihloti's intentions to ge back to her ex, for me that signalled the end - cause those were the main characters.

the bang since the writers are using their twisted way of writing....i thought maybe they leave the rest to the viewers imagination...like Sphiwe maybe they want us to imagine him going back to the famous gal.(visa versa) and that mihloti chose the guy with the money...and Cassius continues by being a street kid/men and also that Bra las works on his relationship with his daughter...me thinks..

H24, where must they shower  when they are living on the streets... LOL. I guess they did a good job of depicting life on the streets.
