Following his son’s tragic death at the hands of a drunk driver, Tommy Gavin (Denis Leary) is stuck at the centre of a family collapsing in crisis in this third season as the once-unshakable bonds between the firefighters of 62 Truck threaten to come undone.

Negotiating his divorce while caring for his ailing father, this season sees Tommy face the demise of 62 Truck, where Franco is secretly preparing for the lieutenant’s exam as he desperately hangs on to his daughter.

Caught in the downdraft of a family in free fall, Tommy fights his own addictions as he faces crises ranging from his nephew’s seduction by a schoolteacher to questions of paternity raised by Janet’s affair with his brother.

As Tommy contemplates retirement, a murder close to home forces him to choose between his damaged family and a fresh start with Sheila.

Its a pity he does not do the Oprah jokes anymore, tonight's line up would have have been fab if charlize was not on the list as well, i am dreading her south african references making it look like a jungle in that interview. Jay Leno aint doing it for me anymore so this is good news!
