This was one of the worst weeks for me in the competition. I did not expect what happened and it was not acceptable in my books. As much as this might sound false but it’s the truth, the original Top 3 was Kgotso, Charisma and TVSA’s fav Mzoxolo. And I believe it should have remained in that order, and not bring back someone who was voted out. Maybe Jackie Selebi’s stand-in held a gun on Lindelani’s head. Anyway this is going to be short because I’m not in the mood to be writing this article.
The judges for yesterday’s episode were Lesedi FM music compiler (
forgot his name), Percy something (
what is he famous for?) the reputable Pastor Mthunzi Namba, and the ever so gorgeous Sarah Ngubeni. Oh Lord every time I see this woman on TV my mind gets filled with ungodly thoughts (
Damn I need Jesus).
The top 4 contestants went home to visit their families and it was all captured on camera. Check out my article on Wednesday to see and hear what happened when the contestants went home to visit their parents. this pic does not show the whole jacketWhat was Thabo wearing? That burgundy jacket made him look like a hideous Magician. Everyone looked great except Mzo, Nomsa the Stylist, why was Mzo in jeans while the others were wearing suits? Lungisani took my advise by closing his jacket’s buttons.
Mzo was announced as the contestant with the highest number of votes. What shocked me was the fact that for the first time in the competition, the contestant with the second highest number of votes was announced. And that went to Lungisani. Why (announce it)now?
Is someone trying to justify his actions? For the second time in a row, Lungisani pointed his dirty fingers to the audience and viewers. I personally don’t take kindly to “boyz” point their fingers at me.
Kgotso I liked his performance but I felt he was performing for himself, he didn’t maintain eye contact with the audience. Otherwise great performance from the Pastor.
I couldn’t agree more when the Beautiful Sarah Ngubeni said to Kgotso
“You bring back the Gospel into Gospel music”.
Lungisani
He performed 2 songs; one of them was Potter’s House (
I forgot the other one). I loved his performance
BUT he did not deserve to be in the Top 4. The only reason he was saved is because Lindelani is so convinced that the Police Station Employees will buy Lungisani’s CD…
NewsFlash –
They won’t buy the CD, they will demand free copies just like , I demand 10 free copies of the top 13 CD for TVSA bloggers (my sources tell me it’s in printing and should be ready this week).
Truth – Lungie’s performance was Awesome but
NO NO NO, Kgotso is the legitimate TOP 3 contestant.
Charisma She sang “
Alone in his presence” and “I get Joy” Joy filled my heart in the first 2min of her performance, Hay’ ke I don’t know what happened when she started singing the second song ( I get Joy). Eish she was very hyper – was she getting rid of her demons? When one of the judges said, she should be part of Joyous celebrations if she doesn’t win, I couldn’t help but just laugh.
Mzo He sang kubo bonke oThixo. I think its number 9 on the Methodist (eWisile) hymn songs/book. It’s my grandmother’s fav song, and I just couldn’t help but just cry when Mzo sang. The song reminded me of my Uncle’s death and funeral (
I was the only one in the family who wasn’t around when he was sick, and that still haunts me till today) Eish there I go offline again. Sorry bloggers. Its irrelevant of what I think of Mzo’s performance because he is already in the finals. Great performance MZO. Cariri and Sobza love you to bits…..
Elimination Sadly, unexpected and undeservingly KGOTSO was eliminated. He is the first real talented performer to be eliminated in the competition as far as my friend is concerned. For the past few weeks Kgotso has blessed us with his beautiful voice and talent. We thank GOD for bringing him into our lounges every Sunday in the past 2 months. And yes I believe we haven’t heard the last of him.
What’s next? 1. The final show will be recorded this Wednesday, some of TVSA bloggers will be representing, and don’t miss Sunday’s episode to see if
MJJ took up the offer of being one of the “j
udges” in the final show. I can be a drama king, and after Kgotso’s elimination, I’m thinking twice of being on that panel……..and beside when I left home almost 10 years ago, my mother told me she would kill me if she ever sees me on TV
2. The winner of the show will perform at the state theatre in Pretoria on the 30 and 31st of October supported by the top 9 contestants, TVSA might only receive complimentary tickets for the 30th show, so if you want tickets please PM me, or send me an e-mail on mjj@tvsa.co.za (
Terms and Conditions Apply)
3. This week its all about IWTSG on TVSA, on Wednesday I will upload an article about the Top 3’s home visit combined with what I call down memory lane (a recap of the road to the final 3 contestants), trust me you don’t want to miss this article. I will also quote some of the hilarious comments made on this blog
4. This Thursday or Friday, one of the bloggers that will attend the final show with me will give a report back of what happened "
behind the scenes" at the final show recording. You also don’t wanna miss this article. Sobza, BS, Toxic might be attending the final show, so expect the article from any1 of them…..
