I spent my Wednesday with the top 10 contestants of I want to Sing Gospel reality show. Damn I had an awesome afternoon. I was so scared at first because I expected Tshepiso to attack me. Shame he has a big heart and gave me a friendly handshake.
Kgotso,Thabisa,Mzoxolo,Berlinda,Lusanda & NtokozoI got to the Melville studios when the contestants were doing rehearsals. I was shocked they remembered me and most of them thanked me for writing nice things about them. Guys you don’t have to suck up. I’m a nice person and will never write nasty things about people. LOL.
Big-ups to the Eclipse crew for treating me like one of them. Must say though the camera man was very amusing at times. Lunch was great except those things you called salads and Veggies. I bet your caterer is from SOWETO. Talking about Soweto –
did you take the children to Soweto to see Madiba and Tutu’s old homes?
Now I know why Thabo has more than 1000 TV presenting gigs – The Boy has TALENT. There were no re-takes, the shoot went smoothly with no one making mistakes except few technical glitches.
Clearly the make-up artist and the stylist do read this blog. Bra Mkhize and Thabo looked great. Now do me 1 small favour – get new shoes for Mzoxolo, Kgotso and Lungisani. Love you ladies to bits – you made my stay memorable.
Check Lungisani on the far right...As you can see I was backstage most of the time watching the contestants doing their thing. Very impressive. My reasons for doing a behind the scenes article was because I was so convinced that there were cat-fights happening. But NOTHING, they seem to get along well with each other. DAMN they are so boring.
Lusanda & CharismaI must say, I was never a Lusanda fan when the competition started, but watching him perform with Shannon last week changed all that. The boy has a great personality. I was impressed by his unshakable belief in the Almighty. I hope it was not an act because we need more young people to walk in the path of the LORD. Bhuti please keep the faith and the positive energy you possess, the group needs it.
Charisma was not impressed with me for giving her an 8/10 last week. My darling as I explained to you, you’ve already made it to the TOP 2 as far as I’m concerned. You can sing babes jealous down. Now allow me to give others some spotlight, OK?
Ntokozo/Siphumele still maintains she can sing any song she wants, whether contemporary or traditional Gospel. Prove us wrong sisi PLEASE.
Lungisani jumped when he saw me – what was wrong bhuti? Were you seeing a ghost? Clearly I was wrong to think that I didn’t belong in the same club yabo Zola, KB and DJ Waxxy from Channel O. Am I that ugly mfethu?
Mzoxolo behaved like a puppy when I told him that his Sugar Mommy (BS) can’t wait for him to turn 20.
Thabisa and Berlinda miss their families a lot. C-mon Thokozani, fly the children back home just for 1 weekend PLEASE. Shannon is a sweetheart PERIOD.
Kgotso I want my chewing gums back. I’m not a spaza shop you know?
Tshepiso it’s not true that I don’t like you – I’m just jealous you were part of the London Lion King cast (LOL).
Damn I can’t believe I just said that without falling from my chair.
Charisma, DJ Sbu & KgotsoDJ Sbu graced the venue with his so ever smiling face and down to earth personality. UBhuti did not throw a tantrum when most of the contestants acted as if he was not in the room. Eish those nasty children didn’t even give Sbu a fake kiss or hug? The occasion was saved by Kgotso for asking Sbu to sign what seemed to be a long autograph or was he giving Kgotso his numbers. I bet Sbu won’t talk about the show on his breakfast show.
Not forgetting the audience – shame they did their part – Are they getting paid? Damn they were so enthusiastic you would swear they were getting paid.
Surprises Surprises Surprises!!!!! 2 Contestants were voted out. Who are they? And most importantly which contestant received the most votes? If you want to find out, tune in on SABC2 this coming Sunday to find out who makes it to the TOP 8 or log on to www.tvsa.co.za on Monday morning to get the low down.
Ps: The show is starting to get emotional. All these children are talented and deserve to win the big price but only 1 of them will walk away with the crown. It’s all in the hands of the public. If you want to see your favourite contestant win – start voting after the Sunday show.
