The queens once ruled Mallowmetseng

The saga continued last night on Death of a Queen : Maloro is seeing dead people, dodgy stock footage of crocodiles chow people for breakfast and the kingdom is set on a matriarch vs a patriarchy state. All I can say is goody good gum drops let the rumble begin.

Maloro’s character sunk to new lows yesterday and (yes Putla showed off more of his muscles again) with him try to consolidate and assert his power and legacy as king. From feeding poor ladies to crocodiles to desecrating the decaying queens corpse all in trying to assert his power. It seems in Maloro’s case power is like money, you can never have enough. The more money you have the more you want and Maloro’s case the more power he gets ,the more power he wants.

Now that he is king, he also wants to create his own dynasty and to be a rainmaker. Something the ancestors clearly seem not to be agreeing with, hence him seeing dead people and all. Which was a nice touch but I loved the angle that was made more overt during the celebration that the men seem to be very happy with a male rule than woman rule. The poor ladies at the party looked like female MDC supporters when Bob announced that he has won the election. This is very interesting to have such clashes around gender roles and the role of women right bang in the middle of woman’s month.

So the question still remains what will Maloro do to assert his new found Kingship and dynasty espiciallly now since the gods are not with him? Is Puno and the ladies of Mallowmetseng willing to let the legacy and dynasty of the queens to die out and play second fiddle to the kings and men? Hopefully we will know very soon.

LOL!!!! One of them hesitantly raised her wine glass (i found the wine-drinkin/toasting odd though) when Maloro raised his glass  and it seemed like she was fighting an inner battle to toast this nu king!

Is Puno and the ladies of Mallowmetseng willing to let the legacy and dynasty of the queens to die out and play second fiddle to the kings and men?

When Puno asked her minder if it was time yet and the minder said yes, what did that mean???

Where did Maloro's wife get the black stones from?

When the skies cleared after promising what seemed like rain clouds, was it the evening or afternoon? I was a bit lost with what time of the day that was beacuse the skies looked clear (like an afternoon in summer) but the rain dance happened during what seemed like night time or at least very early in the morning......

Why did the ancestors change their mind? Was it the call of Puno's mother for her protection?

I wasn't feeling the scene where Maloro was trying to get the white stone from the queen-or was he? What was he looking for in the cave?

The poor ladies at the party looked like female MDC supporters when Bob announced that he has won the election: You can say that again. How does Maloro think that the ancestors will listen to him when he is busy mixing the rain ritual with a modern party (dj, keyboards and chic-to-chic dance and stuff). Champagne and juice was flowing more than bjalwa bja setso. No wonder the ancestors sent lightning instead of rain!

still have n issue with subtitles:
Shoki (Sellametsing?) : moshomo a go tshabe diatla
subtitle: stop daydreaming: WTF?

From feeding poor ladies to crocodiles to desecrating the decaying queens corpse all in trying to assert his power> he is dispeakable!!!!

Yah LM, i was like WTF??? wine??? it looked so inappropriate. and who told Shoki that she is carrying a boy?? the doctor only said that she isnt well, and how soon can you tell the sex of a baby kante? why was Shoki kgalemelaring makhadzi like that, isnt she supposed to respect elders?

Why did the ancestors change their mind? Was it the call of Puno's mother for her protection? Maybe. I was thinking that even if the Kings have ruled before, they have never created or called for rain, so what Maloro was doing was against the ancestors.

What was he looking for in the cave? You are right, he was looking for the white stone/s. Unfortunately for him he cannot find them anywhere unless the ancestors want him to. They (ancestors) must willingly lead him to the spot where he must find them. That's why he was so fru and desperate. That's what I think.

thats how i saw it too. The king's were never the ones who called on the rain and Maloro is overstepping all his boundries. And maybe the ancestors are rebeling because of Puno and the nanny's call for help.
Which gives an interesting tension cause they said he will be king but they never said he should kill to be king.It will be interesting to see where this one ends up.
As for the black stones, Grace found them inside the crocodile in eps 1.
But im really interested how is Maloro going to make it rain if the ancestors are seemingly against him?

Where did Maloro's wife get the black stones from? Inside the crocodile

I love that little girl, Puno, she is so cheeky and adorable, i dont think Maloro will get away with anything, i hope she is not the one that gets thrown in the lake with the crocodile?

The poor ladies at the party looked like female MDC supporters when Bob announced that he has won the election: TLOL Thabang!! kwa kwa kwa

it was in the earlier episodes, she got it from the dead crocodiles head: I missed this Belz, but I remember kids or people  discovering a dead crocodile at the banks of a river.. she (Maloro's wife) said those black stones are crocodile's brain. Shooo, o bogale that woman!

Shoki, like Maloro is power hungry. She cannot believe that she is now the queen. Liked how she said se ntebele mahlong to that man.

Who was fed to the crocodiles and why??

The lady that had gone to tell the king that outsiders had arrived (Magda from Generations). Remember how she spotted the guy who was painting the wall was wearing a gold bangle/wristband? How Maloro later slapped that docile looking policeman cause he had stolen from him? What was that about vele?

I think she was killed cause she saw that gold wristband.....

It's just wishfull thinking Belz remember it was predicted that Maloro's sons would also rule so she automatically assumed that it's a boy (she wudn't just think its a girl under such circumstances)............(I think), thats my interpretation..........

thats very true carino,im having a hectic day and my online day only started at 13h00.then theres other stuff i was busy with on the side this whole day
unfortuneatly for me, i missed the first five minutes cause i was unaware that the show was going to start early due to the soccer.I was watching Noahs Ark and when I switched onto SABC1 ,the show had already started. So i missed aclean 5 minutes.
I got it when maloro was beating up and shouting at the his guards and then they took the lady and threw her in the river
