Boring, Boring, Boring, Boring – what a Boring episode. I agree with those that said Kenneth should have not been eliminated last week for the sake of providing entertainment for the rest of the episodes. But one thing that came out of yesterday’s show was that the producers do read this blog and take note of some of the things that get suggested in this forum:
1. They got rid of the Big Brother ELIMINATION script – hopefully they were not sued by MNET.
2. The roll-call (Group formation) was shorter than the previous week - courtesy of yours truly.
3. They stole my suggestion without any acknowledgement - the producers decided to include the contestants as part of the joyous celebration concert later this month. The remaining contestants will perform with joyous celebration at Gold Reef City later this month. Guys seeing that you didn’t acknowledge me for this great idea, could you please hook me and the bloggers with 10 VIP tickets for the Joyous celebration show?
Performance The Challenge for this week was
“EAR for MUSIC”. The meaning of that was (Vocal Range: High and Low notes) according to Prof Mkhize. Again the contestants were grouped into 6 groups of 4 and this time a Music Director was provided to help them with their performances. Nqubeko Mbatha of Joyous Celebration and husband to the real Ntokozo Mbambo was thee Music Director. Groups were given ½ hour to prepare their performance with the help of Nqubeko.
Group 1 aka Natural Voices
3/5, there was nothing spectacular about the group performance except for the man of the moment Jody teaching Ntokozo that language is not a problem when you call yourself a true musician. Jody sang with the group in Zulu/Xhosa & English. Great performance bhuti, and thanks for coming to the party – you are a true professional. I was not happy with Prof’s comments about Mzo holding the group together – oh please, that boy wanted the limelight.
In fact Mzo and your boyfriend Lusanda,- who made you music expects? Austine(what a name) is a better singer than both of you, he just looks OLD.
Group 2 aka Revelation
1/5 The group was composed of 2 of the 5 eliminated, Nosipho, Luthando, Thabisa, and Lungisani. Pathetic perform accompanied by a near bitch fight between Nosipho & Thabisa. The only revelation for the group was that, they can’t sing. They stopped in the middle of their performance – what the HELL was that??? And according to Nqubeko they were not good listeners.
Group 3 aka Conquerors
4/5, Kgotso was too loud and Zim was the weakest link in the group. Shame usisi was having a terrible time with an English song. Great performance otherwise.
Group 4 aka Exalters (I think it means to hold up high, might be wrong, I have a lower grade English)
2/5. Composed of Victor whom I think should be singing R&B, Andiswa (WTF was she doing? I blame BS for telling us that Free State people have talent, she actually provided the best entertainment for me), Lungile (apparently not good with contemporary Gospel ) and Pertunia (where were you last week sisi? Change your hairstyle ASAP). Ag the group’s performance was terrible.
Group 5 aka Real Mix
4.5/5 Great performance, still not perfect. In the group there was Sydwell, Ntlanhla, Lee-Ann and Ntokozo (she can sing shame). The group ganged up on Lee-Aan, yepping about her pitching. Don’t agree with Lindelani’s comments about the group relying on Ntokozo – oh please Ntokozo didn’t give the others a chance, she took over and there was nothing the others could do.
Group 6 aka Ithemba
3/5. Par performance with the Lion king singer torturing my eyes and ears with his performance. They should have named the group Tsepiso and Ithemba. Marco should have been eliminated last week already.
Elimination
6 were eliminated, Sydwell (deserving), Lee-Ann (eish her performance was really not good when it mattered), Nosipho (unfair dismissal), Luthando (no comment) and Lungile (no comment) and Zimkhitha who was later given a lifeline (Zim is so dramatic yazi, her suitcase fell 2 seconds after she was told she has been given a lifeline – I see that Lindelani took note of last week’s comment that they should keep Zim on the show to provide entertainment). Otherwise a total of 5 were eliminated. I also think Marco and Thabisa deserved to be eliminated – their performances were not good at all.
Lungisani scares me people, I just hope I never meet him in dark corridors – bhuti Discom sells an afro comb and I’m convinced its not more than R5 – kama ezonwele PLEASE. Are you sure you are 26yrs old? You look like my father.
Zim – stick to Xhosa my dear, English is very hard, even politicians say things like “crime of scene” instead of "scene of crime".
Yazi people with false teeth can sing JEALOUS DOWN – big ups to both (Charisma & Shanon) – you both represent Kaapstad well.
Jody – you are looking better bhuti , make sure you are taking your pills everyday
Pertunia – usukaphi sisi man?
