The 10 farmers who will be looking for love on kykNET's reality series Boer Soek 'n Vrou were revealed on Monday night - and two of them are women.
No, this isn't A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila - this is the South African version of the international reality format Farmer Wants a Wife, in which the 10 chosen farmers use their charm, wit and boyband-like looks to try snag 'em a Big City Girl - or Boy, as the case may be.
The 10 farmers are now awaiting love letters from the public, and if some of their pics are anything to go by it could be a long, long wait.
So any crazy-in-love city girls who need a little farm-lovin' have two weeks to decide on which of the Boers
has the most money is the country guy of their dreams and to mail or email their lurve-applications before the 28 July deadline.
Each farmer will select 10 potential partners to get to know better. The TV cameras will follow the farmers on their dates and capture the courting (and play hay-fights) on film. We trust they'll spare us The Bachelor-like snogging and other intimacies.
There is no competition element to Boer Soek 'n Vrou – no wedding or prize money is up for grabs. The series simply offers farmers the opportunity to meet other single people from which possible friendships and romances may develop.
We reckon most of the lads will try to hook up with the two farm-femmes - lotsa barnyard hanky-panky to be had there.
