46664 ConcertI caught a glimpse of the show, and I can tell you one thing, the London crowd was nasty – damn they know what and who they like. When they played a video of A-list celebrities(who couldn’t make it to the stadium) sending their congratulations, the loudest cheer was for David Beckham and the loudest boooooo was reserved for his dear wife Victoria. Did anyone who watched the broadcast see Naomi? Shame not only is she losing her hair, she also lost out at an opportunity to be the presenter of the show.
I was lost for words when I saw Amy Winehouse singing “Free Nelson Mandela” – I couldn’t hear a thing coming out of her mouth except the backing vocalists from Soweto Gospel Choir(SGC). Amy was making moves that reminded me of how Yvonne Chaka Chaka used to dance in the early 60’s – ooops I meant 80s. The SGC sang well, kodwa their rainbow outfits are a saw in the eye. They’ll be touring the States later this year.
Can someone tell me how old is Jada (Will Smith’s wife)? I swear she looks like she is in her early 50s, if not then, she is a natural tense-looking woman. I had issues with some of the celebrities who kept on referring to uTata as a boy - “The birthday Boy”, hayi noko mdala for being called the birthday boy. For the hour I spent in total checking out the show – it looked like it was a great show.
Gospel TimeMoving to Sis Ribs, she celebrated her birthday on Gospel Times the past Sunday with a “nje” performance by some of her guests, the less said about her show &, presentation skills, the better.
Rebecca 40 & Fabulous (and no it’s not my caption – it belongs to Drum)As was mentioned by other bloggers, Sis Ribs is celebrating 40 years and Drum has featured her on the cover of this week (I think this is her 100 cover since the existence of the Magazine). The first shock was to learn that Sis Ribs was 40 – all along I was under the impression that she’s on the other side of 60 & getting a senior citizen Grant like Mdu and Senyaka. Hayi ke what shocked me more was the ff para:
“I’m 40 now so I have to make changes. I think I need a new look – maybe a nice new hairdo and stylish clothes. I want to be bold, I want to become more fashion-conscious and trendy….Since the beginning of this year I’ve been getting so many marriage proposals….” When I read the line about marriage proposal I nearly fell from the chair.
This gets worse/better – depending on your take –
“she longs to be an actress and comedian” The day that happens – I will literally burn my 12 year old 51cm Panasonic TV. As for her being a comedian – she really doesn’t have to say anything, the thought of her standing on stage with a mic makes me laugh already and I have a feeling I’m not the only one.
Has anyone ever noticed that a month before the SAMAs, there’s always a scandal about Rebecca? My friend thinks it’s a scam from her camp to get a sympathetic vote from the Judges.

- Tuks is married and claims that he was an alcoholic – there’s nothing new here, every male musician is an alcoholic , so me thinks his trying to get some publicity, seeing that HHP is a toast of town. TUKS you are talented and you don’t need to go to such extremes, we will buy your music whether we can hear/understand what you are singing about or not.
- Queen Latifah might be getting married to her Lesbian lover/trainer Jeanette Jenkins.
- B.S I’m sorry to tell you this – But it looks like Ms Aniston is happy with Mr Meyer, she’s currently in Europe as well and has attended 3 of John’s Concerts already.
- The Beauty and the rich Beast are in London for the Beast’s concert performance. I hear she was seating next to Amy Winehouse while JZ was performing.
