In this episode, the spotlight falls on Minki van der Westhuizen - aka Slinky Minki. Minki, an uber model, has been known not only for her gorgeous looks but also for her relationship with cricketer Graeme Smith and her friendship with pop icon Robbie Williams.
When Robbie visited the Mother City a while back the two of them were seen having a whale of a time in the Mount Nelson’s ultra chic Planet Bar. She's sleek, sexy and has a successful career to boot.
Recently she got married to Stellenbosch businessman Constant Visser.
Minki made news headlines in South Africa in 2006 when it was revealed that photos of her sitting in a bathtub drinking champagne were leaked onto the internet. The photos were taken on her 21st birthday while she was getting ready for her birthday party.
Travelling has been a consistent highlight of choosing modelling as a career, but it has taken hard work and perseverance to reach the heights that van der Westhuizen has achieved thus far.
She also realizes that down time is equally important in maintaining a balance in her life. She enjoys spending time relaxing at home and likes nothing more than a home braai with wors.
