IDOLS 4: Top 7

Now THAT is more like it.

blurb top 7 top 7

Last night/Friday night the contestants really upped their game and I was duly impressed with all of them.

The only problem I had with the program is that there were 50 000 adverts in between each performance. I know they have to stretch 7 performances through 1 and a half hours but it's truly ridiculous.

To add insult to injury that outsurance mike has not only gotten married and had children but it invited it's whole damn family to be on the adverts. Where ever I look there are mikes with green hair - Outsurance sure is milking this mike for all it's worth.

Oh, the other problem I have is that there's not enough Yummy Colin.
Seriously folks, cut down on the adverts and green Mikes and add more YC, your ratings will triple!

PERFORMANCES

The worst of the night for was Carla. I know, I know, I just can't let go of that bone.

She does absolutely NOTHING for me and that special STAAAAAARR was anything but. Is it just me or does she look extremely rigid, rigor mortis like.
I could not believe it when the judges raved about how well she did. Even Randall.

And Jody is back. I loved the song and didn't she just look so beautiful? She did struggle at one or 2 parts but overall she was excellent. Makes me want to logon to MXit and vote.

Tender was the best of the night. HOT HOT HOT! Again, her singing was so effortless, s natural. I was worried about her doing a Brenda Fassie song because Brenda is, you know, BRENDA.

But she more than did the song justice and I was thinking just how lady like she was. I really like Tender and I no longer think that her repertoire with the judges is her being full of it. it's just her personality and it's something that will get her far in "the industry".

Andriette started off abit on the shaky side, but once she got into it, sounded awesome. I felt for poor Vicky Sampson having her song trashed by both Dave and Randall - she can take consolation in the fact that she didn't write it.

Bjorn was AWESOME! Mara was unnecessarily harsh and for once (just this once) I agreed with Gareth. For the first time I felt that Bjorn WAS actually feeling the music. And considering that he didn't even know the song beforehand, I think his interpretation was fantastic.

Daniel - again, good performance. But he's not my favourite. He can stay this week but I don't see him going on too much further.

Finally, Munro. *SIGH* I just love his voice. He has one thing that the others lack. His voice is different. It's unique.

We've all heard Daniels and Andriettes in our lifetime, and it's very refreshing when we stumble across something as fresh as Munro. Love him!

SO my top 2 is defs Tender & Munro.

Bottom 3 for tonight will be Carla, Daniel & Bjorn  - with Carla walking the plank.

Oh Ama, I hope you're right, can't wait for Carla to leave. I thought it was quite a risky song choice for Bjorn and I don't want him leaving yet so I voted like mad for him on Mxit, same goes for Jody.

Munro is really something else, hey!

I was so angry at Mara for crushing Bjorn like that, he sang the song very well considering the fact that it was a Xhosa song.I am sooooooooo voting for him. I hope he doesn't leave cos he was the only one who got mixed comments frm the judges.

Shame Carla is a goner!! My favourites were def Tender (as usual) and Munro (finally the potential I thought he had). Daniel doesn't really do it for me but this week's performance was def with more emotion than last week. I wonder what Tender's chances of winning, knowing that Idols has a race bias? I think people don't like Tender's personality, I think just makes her more of a star!!

Tender is just amazing. She is getting stronger and stronger every week. My vote for this years Idol is defnitely going to her!!!

I'm so good it's scary!
But i predict that my predicting who's going to go ends here.
from now on it's defs the person with the least of amount of voting fans that leaves because i think they're all on par. More or less.

It's always sad to see someone go - even though i didint like them.
