5 reasons why i love SABC TV

1. There are repeats

I love it because if I miss one of their shows, whether a Soapie, Drama or Talk show there is a repeat. I mean you can catch the repeat on Sabc 1, 2 & 3 on the same day

2. 1 program can run up 5 years without taking a break

I have been watching Selimathuzi and Jam Alley from back in the day when I was in high school and that was the mid 1990’s and they are still on and strong.

3. They only give you one chance to make it and that’s it

You can’t be seen cleaning after people who mess up cos they will ruin your image. Firing and hiring people all the time shows that they only want the best and if you don’t have what it takes better move on or they’ll trash you

4. They give people exposure

Look at how many presenters they have had over the past years and tell me
they haven’t made a difference in people’s lives. Because of SABC most
people became famous and now are called celebrities.

5. They give us something to talk about

Almost every program there is lacking something which makes it interesting for me. I can criticise it for years and there won’t be any change, they give it to us as crappie as it is and we still tune in. Look at Muvhango, Generations, 7 de Laan and Isidingo, they are doing great regardless of whether we criticise or not.

yah episode repeats are such a good idea, they must just understand that the same cannot be said for a whole show.

Ewe baby joe I agree with u ku number 4, there's this bald guy who was a Xhosa presenter ku sabc1, he was just an ordinary guy when he was still here in Cape Town ngoku uyi celebration not even i celebrity ngoba uchomela the same people abamvotela to be a presenter kuYAMAMPELA. Tshotsho he was not chosen to be a presenter kuMzansi FO SHO.

Those old stories use to play during the day on SABC not sure if they still are now.
As for them to raid us for TV licence despite the fact 80% of shows are the repeates. And SABC 2 & 3 use to have nice movies but now I feel like they are joing Fo sho's style, I realy dont understand what these guys think of SA ppl.

Have u guys tried to watch TV on Saturday? its damn boring.

I wanna know, SABC is a free to air channel yet we pay TV licences right.? Then why cant they launch a sport chanel, why cant they launch a music chanel? Why is it always about the news to them...? The did a french news channel which I wonder its for who and now SABC news international.. why the news..? Its all news, news and more news. I bet otlo bona ba dira di news in township lingo not soo long..News and Sport are their priority and then Variety and soapies they just get an international version and change a bit...then give it a name Mzansi this..

morning all, come on people why are complaining about R200 or less per year to pay your licence. its too little compare to the money you pay for dstv...

As for the soweto channel, i have no clue and if it is working people from soweto are the only ones who can fill us in.
