THUMBS UP - THUMBS DOWN!!You know you listen out to ADs and you either think: "aaahhh - good one" or "Oh Gaad!! What crap" or "hey that's clever, how did they think of that"...etc..I had the same feeling today... I heard the JET MART ad on the radio.2 ladies speaking in Xhosa. I will not attempt to write it in Xhosa so i'll explain in English..its goes something like this (please dont quote me)Lady 1: I left Wilson, he's so unreliable!!Lady 2: Oh really...Lady 1: Ya, the only thing i'll miss is his CD's and DVD'sLady 2: Why dont you go to JET MART where you can get 4 dvd's at R--- Lady 1: Lets go... Wilson will never hear from me..Now like I said, its in Xhosa. So listen out for it. Now the irony in this ad: They are dissing Wilson B. Nkosi (MetroFm) - we all know he's the face and voice of RELIABLE MUSIC WAREHOUSE (hence him being unreliable) and the shop sells CDs and DVDs. So Jet Mart is indirectly telling us that RELIABLE MUSIC WAREHOUSE is not the only place to get affordable CDs and DVDs.***********************************************My favourite Ads at the moment: hmmm let me think?? MTN is back with a BANG..!! The one where all those kids are dancing and playing that hand game (what did we call it?: By so..? hehhe) - it kinda shouts "I like the way you move!!!! by Vodacom"...hmm guys!!?? - Great effort tho' The "What is love, baby dont hurt me"... one.. and that of those guys on a treadmills!!*************************************************And the worst: NATIONWIDE AIRLINES......the best domestic airline??? really?? Having domestic workers in a plane is not funny - I hope it was not black people who were behind this ad...**************************************************now it's your turn...You asked for this kind of forum...so here it is...!!Which are your Best and Worst radio or TV ads...??Vent or give props...Lahvee..p.s: I'm not in advertising..for those of you who are, please advise me if its okay for me to use their logo's like this...(all logo's are taken from the respective websites)
