Season 2

Die Vlieënde Springbokkie (The Flying Springbok) is a South African, Afrikaans-language television comedy series which follows a group of mismatched South Africans stuck on a spaceship, on a quest to find a new planet.

The series follows them as they overcome unexpected set-backs despite internal conflicts of leadership and working together to reach C-Earth, so that humans can relocate themselves.

After the onboard computer Oom (played by Riaan Cruywagen) took over the Spaceship and steered it towards the sun last season, a mysterious person managed to save the ship and get them back on track for the Worldwide race to C-Earth.

The crew are united after their ordeal, but they are challenged with a new crew member who joins the team.

The power struggle for the Captain's position continues and threatens the race.

Will they manage to stand together and reach the sought-after C-Earth?

Season 2 introduces new cast members including Bobby van Jaarsveld as Robbie, Kim Cloete as Maggie, Mortimer Williams as Mac, Mari Molefe van Heerden as FJ, Elzabé Zietsman as Pat, Pulane Sekepe as Mamelodi, Schalk Bezuidenhout as Pirate Falk, Casper de Vries as Pirate Jasper and Thabo Malema as Officer Malibongwe.

Returning to the show are Riaan Cruywagen as Oom, Nikolai Mynhardt as Mossie, Weslee Lauder as Farrel and Doreen Morris as the President.

In the Season 2 premiere, "Until the Sunrise": The crew slowly realises that they have jumped a year and a half into the future and that the mission for B-Earth is no longer a priority.

Die Vlieënde Springbokkie was created by Markus Davis and is produced by Urban Brew Studios with executive producer Adelaide Joshua-Hill and producer Burgert Müller.

Original music is by Urban Rhythm Factory, Marshall Harmse and Leon Ecroignard. The title theme was sung by Pulane Sekepe.
