Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye premiered on DStv's Sony Entertainment Television (SET) channel on Saturday 4 October 2008, at 22h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Synopsis

This drama series was inspired by the true story of Sue Thomas who, although deaf from infancy, overcame huge obstacles to work doing surveillance for the F.B.I.

A suspense-filled coming-of-age drama, it stars deaf actress Deanne Bray as Thomas, a sheltered young woman who has recently graduated from college and is about to start her first real job, which happens to be with the F.B.I.

Initially disappointed when she’s relegated to analyzing fingerprints, Sue doesn’t languish there for long. A new acquaintance, agent Jack Hudson (Yannick Bisson), discovers her unique lip-reading ability and enlists her to join the bureau’s elite surveillance team.

Suddenly Sue and her hearing dog, Levi, are caught up in a lot more action than they bargained for, but what they lack in experience, they make up for in spirit and enthusiasm.
