Travel fans everywhere can rejoice as the international soiree Top Travel returns to SABC3.
Filled with travel tips and laughs galore from two of the world's leading globe-trotters, Jeannie and Janez, the third season of Top Travel also has a major focus on travel on the African continent, while retaining its global tourism footprint.
Jeannie and Janez's travels kick off in Venice – the city on water - where the two engage in glass-making and silk-making and indulge in five-star dining and accommodation.
During their stay they also tour some of the most popular historical locations in Venice, such as the Piazzo San Marco. The two then hop aboard the luxurious Orient Express and indulge in a one-of-a-kind travel experience on their journey to London.
They tour the wonders of the Baltics, introduce us to the nuances behind green dining, learn about the magic behind Medieval Tallinn, feast on the architectural marvel that is The Winter Palace in St. Petersburg, tour the Mediterranean and showcase the splendour of glamorous Monaco.
On their return home to Africa, they drive along the iconic Route 62 in the Southern Cape, tour Kolmanskop (Ghost Town) in Namibia, join a KhoiSan hunt in Botswana, visit the majestic Victoria Falls in Zambia, hop onto a hot air balloon over the Serengeti and swim with dolphins in Zanzibar.
Jeannie and Janez's infectious personalities guarantee that there will never be a dull moment as they traverse the globe, even though they sometimes differ on the best places of interest at various locations.
