Season 3
Lui Maar Op, Belinda (Give it a Rest, Belinda) is a South African, Afrikaans-language television sitcom which revolves around a group of older shop staff and their bumbling young security chief at a general dealer in George.
Ian & Ander is a small corner shop in George belonging to Ian Jantjies (Duncan Johnson), a middle-aged man who left the bustle of the big city to experience small town serenity.
But because of his three 'older' employees, who for some reason can't be left unattended, Ian only ever experiences havoc and chaos.
Belinda Swanepoel (Brümilda van Rensburg), a former actress, has an obsession with mirrors, spending all of her time looking at herself and forgetting about customers at the cash register.
Annetjie Nel (Annelisa Weiland), a militarist spinster, marches around barking orders at everyone whilst trying to keep an eye on Ian's wife, who likes to take without paying.
Then there is the poor, charming farm hero Frans Wessels (Eric Nobbs), who tries to keep the peace between Annetjie and Belinda, but rarely succeeds.
Together they must face the challenges of old age, but also learn that life is full of second chances and that one is never too old to have fun.
Eric Nobbs passed away during filming of Season 3. He appears in the first three episodes of the season, after which his role is taken over by Chris van Niekerk.
This season includes guest appearances by Karli Heine, Albert Maritz, Richard van der Westhuizen, Eckard Rabe, Wilhelm van der Walt and Hélène Truter, among others.
Singer Sonja Herholdt also pops in to pay a visit to the quirky people of the hardware store.
We find out that Belinda and Annetjie crossed paths in their younger days and we will see exactly what happened that day through a flashback.
The younger versions of Belinda, Annatjie and Frans are played by Ilse-Lee van Niekerk, Augusta Zietsman and Adriaan Havenga respectively.
At the end of the second season Belinda discovered she had breast cancer and this season will chart her challenging journey.
In the Season 2 premiere: Despite everyone's attempts at intervention, Belinda follows her own head when it comes to treatment, but no one is happy with her decision.
Also, there's a funeral for George.
