Season 2 Synopsis

Dawn French returns in the second season of The Vicar Of Dibley.

Romance is in the air, and Geraldine turns Cupid as she attempts to bring together the desperately shy Alice and the even more desperately shy Hugo. It's an operation that makes the Normandy Landings seem simple.

The parishioners also delve into the murky world of the media when they set up their own local radio station. Geraldine conducts the world's first phone in without a single call and the Brain of Dibley Contest has an unlikely champion.

Spurred on by their success, the villagers also put on their own revue in the village hall, revealing talents some may feel should have been kept well hidden.

Dibley regulars include the long suffering Chairman of the Council, David Horton; the farmer whose arm is rarely out of a cow's backside, Owen Newitt; and Parish Secretary Frank Pickle.
