Season 2
This series, created by uber-author Michael Crichton, is set in the Emergency Room of a busy Chicago hospital. It follows the doctors and nurses through both their personal and professional lives and draws you in to their trials and tribulations.
Season 2 continues with the high tension and drama of Season 1. No-nonsense tough Dr Kerry Waever joins the ER as the new Chief Resident when Dr Greene is promoted to Attending Physician. Dr Greene meanwhile has to deal with his wife and daughter moving away.
Dr Peter Benton still aspires for more professionally and also has to deal with his failed relationship with Jeannie, a physical assistant working at the hospital.
Dr Susan Lewis continues to struggle at work and at home, being the chosen target of Dr Weaver and also has to raise her sister's baby.
Dr Carter is still coming to terms with being a doctor in the ER but is becoming more professional though still retaining his very human and compassionate nature. Nurse Carol Hathaway tries to recover from her failed relationship and gets involved with a paramedic, Shep. She maintains her friendship with Dr Ross, who in turn continues his womanising ways, sometimes getting himself into trouble.
