Season 1

Inimba is a South African telenovela which revolves around a woman who chooses her career over motherhood, and the consequences of this decision more than two decades later.

This is a tale of love, sacrifice and the unstoppable force of a mother's bond with her child.

Zoleka Mabandla (Lunathi Mampofu) had it all – a new family, a promising career and a dream job offering she found hard to refuse.

But when her husband, Hlathi (Sisa Hewana), forced her to choose between her ambition and their family, she made the ultimate sacrifice.

Fast forward 20 years and Zoleka is now a tech mogul and she's here to reclaim her life and Qhawe (Ayakha Ntunja), the daughter she lost.

But she soon learns that the past doesn't let go that easily.

Battle lines are drawn — past vs. present, love vs. resentment - all because of broken promises.

Will Zoleka mend the bond she was robbed of? Or are some wounds too deep to heal?

The series stars Lunathi Mampofu, Sisa Hewana, Siyabonga Shibe, Zenande Mfenyana, Ayakha Ntunja, Prince Grootboom, Nkanyiso Makhanya and Andrea Dondolo.

Inimba was created by Siphosethu Tshapu and is produced by The Milton Empire with executive producers Siphosethu Tshapu and Thandi Ramathesele.

The series producer is Yolanda Ndhlovu and the directors are Thandokazi Msumza, Siyabonga Mkhize, Lufuno Nekhabambe and Mamohato Askew.

The head writer is Siphosethu Tshapu, with a writing team including Nonzi Bogatsu, Nombulelo Mcwerah, Khanyisa Jali Omeiza, Vanishia Kisten, Sinethemba Keleku, Sacha Stokes, Sibusiso Khumalo, Ranga Chikwene and Kirsten Adams.

Original composition is by Samukelo Mahlalela.
