MVP Jam is a South African variety game show combining elements of karaoke, pop-quiz and dance which is built around a music quiz in which two teams of friends go head to head to compete for "the ultimate MVP Jam experience".
MVP (Music Video Play) Jam contestants need to have in-depth knowledge on all music matters in order to win the quiz games. The teams also compete in song and dance challenges in front of a lively studio audience.
The show is presented by Dineo Ranaka, while DJ Mulo sets the mood with the latest sounds from Mzansi. The DJ also interacts with the presenter, teams and studio audience.
Contending teams compete in five games. The teams need to demonstrate vast music knowledge, singing and dancing abilities. Two of the five segments are judged by an audience member.
